Anyone who uses your app in a calendar month: an API request with their token, opening the realtime socket, answering a call from a locked phone, or replying from a notification. Your backend creating users or minting tokens does not count, and neither does being rung or sent a notification.

Yes. Every plan, including Free, includes voice and video call minutes. Free has 100 voice and 50 video minutes a month to try calling on real phones; Pro has 10,000 and 2,000; Scale has 100,000 and 25,000.

Per person on the call, per minute. A 10-minute call between two people uses 20 minutes. Ringing is free, so an unanswered call costs nothing. A call counts as video from the moment anyone turns a camera on.

New monthly active users are refused with 402 mau_cap_exceeded and new calls with 402 call_minutes_exhausted until the month turns or the plan changes. People already active this month keep working, and calls already connected carry on.

poolse stores 300 MB of attachments on Free, with files up to 1 MB, and 500 MB on Pro and Scale, with files up to 25 MB. On any plan you can connect your own S3-compatible bucket instead, such as Cloudflare R2 or AWS S3: new files then go there, with no storage limit from poolse and files up to 100 MB. Files never pass through poolse either way.

Yes. The Free plan has no time limit and needs no card. It includes every feature, with the limits shown above.
